For sales reps

Does it cost me anything to be placed?

No — never. You are not charged a fee for being found, referred, considered or placed into work. That's a legal requirement, not a favour. If anyone claiming to represent EXPND asks you to pay to be placed, it isn't legitimate — tell us straight away.

What about the paid training?

Interview preparation and Loom optimisation, which is optional and never a condition of being considered. The Vault isn't for reps at all — it's where businesses and the people who fill roles for them meet. Nothing you can buy gets you placed faster, and applying is always free. Do you guarantee I'll get placed?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. What we do promise is that it costs you nothing, a person reads every application, and we put you forward for roles you actually fit.

Why can't I see who the company is?

Most of our clients are confidential — they don't want it public that they're hiring. You'll know who they are before any interview; we're not going to put you in front of someone you can't research. Roles posted by our partner agencies are named openly.

Do I need experience?

It varies by role — some take entry level, others want a track record. Register general interest and we'll tell you straight.

What happens after I apply?

It goes straight to the EXPND team. There's no automated matching here — a person reads it and decides whether you fit anything live or anything coming up.

For businesses hiring

What does it cost?

A flat fee per successful placement, on a contingency basis — you pay nothing unless someone we introduce is placed with you. We agree the fee with you in writing before we start, and it's payable within 14 days of their confirmed start date. Roles posted by partner agencies are separate: those terms are between you and that agency, and we take nothing from them.

What if the person doesn't work out?

On placements we make directly: if they don't work out within their first 90 days we source a free replacement, with no limit inside that window. Replacement is the remedy rather than a refund. It doesn't cover roles posted by partner agencies — those are agreed between you and the agency.

Do you charge a retainer?

No. One placement fee, paid when we agree the seat, and the search starts that day. No retainer, no monthly fee, and a free replacement if it doesn't work out in the first 90 days.

Can I post my own roles?

Not directly — we post on your behalf after an intake call, so we can brief candidates properly and keep your name off the public board. Partner agencies are the exception and post their own.

How long does it take?

It depends entirely on the brief. We'd rather be honest on a call than quote you a number here that turns out to be wrong.

For agency partners

What is the agency partnership?

For agency owners already generating their own deal flow. You post roles under your own name, handle your own applicants, and run your own pipeline. £100/month. More here.

Do you take a cut of our placements?

No. No percentage, no finder's fee. The subscription is the entire cost.

Do we get access to your candidate database?

No. You see the reps who apply to your own roles, with full contact details. Browsing the wider database isn't something we offer — reps share their details to be placed, not to be listed.

Do we have to have a call first?

No. Sign up and we review every agency before you're charged anything. A call is available if you'd rather talk it through first, but it isn't a step you have to clear.

How do we cancel?

One click, from Manage billing in your dashboard. Your roles come down and your applicants are hidden, but nothing is deleted — resubscribe and it's all still there.

These answers summarise how we work. Where anything here differs from our terms, the terms are what apply.
